CARISSA macrocarpa 'Natal Plum'

Growth habits vary by species.  Compact varieties such as 'Green Carpet'  grow 2-3' tall, while standard varieties can reach a height of 7'.  Carissa is tolerant of heat and drought.  Blooms year-round with small, star-shaped, white flowers.  Branches carry spines.  Requires little water.
