XYLOSMA congestum

This chinese native can be used as a hedge, espaliered, or trained as a small tree.  Blooms in spring-fall, but flowers are insignificant.  Hardy down to 10°F, but will lose the majority of leaves in a hard frost.  Xylosma congestum will tolerate heat and poor soil, and is drought tolerant once established.
